The View May Hire Sherri Shepherd
Sherri Shepherd Reportedly in Talks to Become Star Jones' Replacement on The View
"A new permanent co-host will be announced in January and insiders claim a deal is being worked out with comic Sherri Shepherd," says Canada.com, adding, "If it happens, tell your friends you read it here. (If it doesn't happen, tell your friends you read it on AOL.)"
The View's audiences have fallen in love with the clean Christian comic as Sherri Shepherd has regaled them with true tales of her recent divorce from actor and comedian Jeff Tarpley, with whom she shares a son.
Sherri Shepherd told The View's viewers that she recently checked Jeff Tarpley's email account and found pictures of some woman "with her legs all up in the air," and reported that only the Lord stopped her from bashing Jeff's head in with the lamp she picked up.
Also admitting that she had formerly spent eight days in jail for failure to pay parking violations, Sherri Shepherd said God warned her that she didn't want to go to prison for murder.
"One body cannot hold onto all that anger," Sherri Shepherd said about her journey toward forgiving Jeff Tarpley, a man to whom she pays alimony.
A native of a Chicago suburb, Sherri Shepherd was born April 22, 1970. Sherri's father reportedly worked as a McDonald's manager to help pay for Sherri to attend trade college, which helped her gain work as a legal secretary and perform stand-up comedy at night.
Raised a Jehovah's Witness, Sherri later converted to Christianity after moving from Chicago to Los Angeles.
"I was out here doing stand-up comedy, and everything was going wrong. I was in a very abusive relationship and was making really bad choices," Sherri told Living Light News. One night, Shepherd said she fell to her knees and cried out, searching for God.
"I said, 'Lord, if you are there, if you kind of love me, can you help me?' " Sherri reportedly begged. "Once I accepted Christ I immediately had peace. I still didn't have a place to live, I still didn't have a car, but I had peace," Sherri continued.
And now the woman who refuses to curse or do sex scenes is being rewarded for her steadfastness: The View's audience has responded positively and are flocking in droves to sign the guestbook on her website at http://www.sherrishepherd.com/ and to add themselves as Sherri Shepherd's fried on her MySpace page at http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=21510257
"I believe God has called His people to be a light in darkness," Sherri said, adding the thought-provoking quote to her MySpace profile: "If the next 24 hours determined where you'd spend eternity...what would you do?"

Post a CommentWell I was annoyed, but I see we have already been sufficiently represented and so I will leave well enough alone. I also love Sherrie, she has my name...and I wish her the best.
Jehovah's witnesses believe Jesus WAS the son of of God. Instead of making insipid accusations about a religion you apparently know nothing about why not pay attention to your own beliefs. Perhaps instead of categorizing "christianity" in those fundemental terms that you claim why not look at the basic meaning of Christianity and not what the oldest churches have been dictating is a christian, dicating accord to THEIR interpretation of the bible. Instead realize that JW's view the bible as god's word, have all bible based teachings, believe Jesus in the Son of God, and that all humans gain salvation THROUGH Jesus, god's son.
Nothing is worse than conscientous stupidity and sincere igorance
I am a JW, been one for 35yrs and is looking forward to my next 35. I know I am a Christian and I believe in the son of God very strongly.
Many people have different definitions as to what a christian is and I am not going to measure up to 100 meanings of the word "christian" just to satisfy the majority. Many generations in the past who called themselves christian forbidded the reading of the bible to their flocks and it is just recently that this generation started taking up bibles, toting them and calling themselves authority on the subject. Some bible are still collecting dust on coffee table, bookshelves, etc. The bible's meaning is very simple of what a christian is. Matthew 28: 19,20 says: We have to be baptised in the name of the Father, Son and Holy spirit. What's the name of the Fasther?
I am a JW, been one for 35yrs and looking forward to my next 35. I know I am a christian and I believe in Jesus strongly. One thing I noticed is that people who say that they are christian have a different definition from others as to what a christians is. I am not and I will not try to measure up to over 100 different meanings as to what a christian is just to satisfy the majority. Maybe that's the reason why bibles are collecting dust on coffee tables, bookshelves, being stored in attics, etc. Generations of people calling themselves "christian" in the past have discarded the bible for so long, now all of a sudden, everybody is toting a bible and becoming an authority in it and saying who is and who is not a christian while legalizing everything what the bible condems. Now, what;s going on?
I am an an author, renowned artist, inventor. musician and extremely well educated, in addendum I am a great admirer of Jehovah's
Witnesses and their peaceful contribution to humankind. I was shocked to read the ignorant, incorrect, comments of those decimating these dedicated, decent Christians.
I am a JW, we are Christians that believe in Jesus. He is Gods Son and the means of Salvation.
"Have a nice day!" lol
I Love Sherri! She is so down to earth, Her Dh is a JERK!! and a fool. Good Riddance and Best wishes.
Jehovah's Witnesses are NOT Christians. They deny many of the BSIC doctrines of Christianity:
Doctrinal denials include:
1) Denial of the Trinity;
2) Denial of the deity of Christ (Arian view);
3) Denial of the Personality of the Holy Spirit (viewed as "God's active force");
4) Denial of man's immortal soul
5) Denial of the Biblical view of the Atonement
6) Denial of the bodily resurrection of Christ
7) Denial of salvation by faith in Christ alone; A two class system of salvation - 144,000 in heaven, and the great crowd on a paradise earth.
8) Denial of salvation outside their organization;
9) Denial of the "born again" experience for all (this experience they say is just for 144,000 of the Witnesses);
10) Denial of the eternal punishment of the lost (claiming annihilation is their fate);
11) Denial of the bodily, visible return of Christ (Christ "returned" invisibly in 1914 and there was an invisible "rapture" in 1918).
i hate to beat a dead horse, but i was raised as a Jehovah's Witness.
Jehovah Witnesses are christians. the religion is a bible base religion. they do believe in Jesus. in fact at the end of every prayer the say through your son Jesus Christ amen".
i am no longer a Jehovah Witness because i just have my own spiruatal (sp) beliefs. but i know that JW's is peaceful, loving religion. they follow what they believe is the only path to salvation.
Continue to focus on ORGANIZATIONS and we will continue to go nowhere. Rather, start your focus on the individuals within them and you will begin to understand why it is said in the bible to "come out of her my people". I congratulate Sherri. I think she is wonderful and full of Spirit to take the steps she has taken.
The Jehovah's Witnesses consider themselves to be Christians because they believe they are serving the true and living God. Like many cults, they think they are the only true *church* on earth (whereas *ALL* who repent of their sins and put their trust in Jesus will be saved...not just those who go to a Jehovah's Witness church).
Please don't take my word on this...look it up for yourself in the Bible. The reason Jehovah's Witnesse are not part of Christianity because they depart from the *BASICS* of Christian docrine:
- They deny the Trinity (God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are three separate and distinct persons)
- They deny the deity of Christ (that Christ IS God) -
- They deny the personhood of the Holy Spirit
- They deny Jesus' physical resurrection
- They deny salvation by grace through faith
Please, don't take my word on it...my opinioin counts for nothing....it's God's word that is everything...if you have a Bible, start by reading the book of John and a
