The Violet Burning Drop-Dead

CD Review

CW Ross
The band has been around now for over ten years touring all over both Europe and the United States.

The main force behind the band is Michael J. Pritzl who is the lead singer, plays guitar, programming and is the songwriter of all the music found on the CD.

On top of that add his credential as the CD's main producer along with co-producer's the Glitter Twins.

Michael had this to say about the new release, "Drop Dead...is a deeper, darker sounding recording than any Violets Burning record to date."

The musical sound found on this CD I would classify as aggressive modern rock meets electronic. The release features many sounds that are courtesy of Michael's love for electronically produced sounds.

The theme for all of the songs hit on one particular subject, that of love. They hit it from almost ever possible angle. From love hoped for, love
found, and love justified to love lost and love sacrificed.

While this release isn't overtly spiritual it does have some religious undertones to it.

If you're looking to listen to something a little bit different then the usual modern rock then this CD should fit your need.

It's offers you, the listener, both an interesting and unique musical sound.

I enjoy Indie and Christian rock music, watching Indy car racing, NFL football, and TV shows.  View profile
