"The Voice" Christina Aguilera Gets Flirty with Patrick Thomas

"The Voice" judge Christina Aguilera seemed visibly moved after a performance from a contestant during the live performances on Tuesday. After Patrick Thomas sung his rendition of "I Hope You Dance," Aguilera immediately went into flirt mode. In fact, Aguilera called Thomas "cute" and requested that he "take off his pants."

Thomas seemed uneasy after the comment but the dialog continued between "The Voice" judges. Fellow judge Adam Levine took a jab at Aguilera and said she just wanted to "do" the contestant. If that wasn't family TV enough, Aguilera then re-iterated the fact that she wanted Thomas to take off "his pants."

It was an unusually awkward moment for the new competition on "The Voice." The judges have certainly developed some chemistry on the show but sometimes the line seems to get crossed as they continue to get acclimated to one another. Was the commentary between Aguilera and Thomas out of line?

I don't think most of America will have a problem with Aguilera having the "hots" for a contestant on the show or trying to get flirty with him. But maybe the "family" network might object to such harsh dialog in the prime time hours. Fortunately for NBC, the moment occurred during the 9pm CST hour when many kids might be at sleep. Can you imagine having to explain to your children why a judge just asked a contestant to take off "the pants?"

It was definitely an intriguing moment and it will be interesting to see how the public and NBC perceives the moment during the live television show. Will it be something people blog about? Could it be the most controversial or interesting moment of the show on Tuesday? It certainly could serve as the most talked about moment. Aguilera didn't seem to be kidding around too much when she tossed those words at Thomas. But perhaps the judges are trying to serve up some "American Idol" like banter to keep the show interesting. There's definitely some similarities to the way the judges are playing off one another in comparison with the show on FOX.
