The Voice of God

Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.

Only Thou Art worthy, O Lord, (Rev. 4:11)

To receive praise as our Creator.

I consider the works of Thy hands,

The heavens with moon and stars. (Psa. 8:3)

I can only repeat with all reverence,

"O Lord, how great Thou art!" (Psa. 48:1)

Thou spoke and the world came into being, (Gen. 1:1)

(For Thou has created all things), (Joh. 1:3)

For Thy pleasure they were created, (Rev. 4:11)

With Your love and blessing to bring.

The voice of God has been clear

From Genesis to Revelation,

If we'll hearken to the voice of God,

We'll see our need of salvation.

The voice of God spoke to Adam

In the Garden, in the cool of the day. (Gen. 3:8)

God called, "Adam, where art thou?" (Gen. 3:9)

Adam sinned and hid away.

Adam answered, "I heard Thy voice;

I hid for I was afraid. (Gen. 3:10)

I broke the one commandment (Gen. 2:17)

Thou gave me to obey."

So God cast him out of the garden;

No longer could man enter in. (Gen.3:23-24)

His fellowship with God had been broken, (Isa. 59:2)

Now stained with the guilt of sin.

Now sin did not disappear;

It was on this earth to stay.

A blood sacrifice was required, (Heb. 9:22)

To take the sin away. (1Jo. 3:5)

God sent His Son, the Lord Jesus, (Joh. 1:29)

In perfection to offer His blood (Heb. 9:22)

On the cruel cross of Calvary (Luk. 23:23)

To save the 'world' He loved. (Joh. 3:16)

But in order to receive God's forgiveness,

I must repent of the sin I've done; (Mat. 3:2)

For I too would have been separated, (Isa. 59:2)

His love and mercy not known.

But God so loved the World,

That He gave His only begotten Son, (Joh. 3:16)

To die, to pay for my sins, (Psa. 85:2)

That one day I could go home. (2Co. 5:8)

And live with Christ in glory, (Joh. 14:3)

By receiving His sacrifice for sin. (Joh. 1:12)

And gaining His forgiveness, (Rom. 4:7)

Our fellowship restored once again. (Psa. 51:12)
