Real Encounter of the Voice
Awaken by the sound of keys opening my mess¡¯s door; who else but Pat. Ow! Must have dozed off for an hour and a half already; turning to my watch; its 9.30pm now.
¡°Honey; sweet honey, honey were so unreasonable and mean during this afternoon¡¯s meeting you know, honey. Luckily I was not in your sales team!¡± Pat sighed.
¡°Hell with them. They don¡¯t perform and bugged up, I¡¯ll show them the exit door next!¡±
¡°Hell they are living with fear know?¡± she said; ¡°Encouragement, Motivations and more incentives on your sales objectives further!¡± she continued.
¡°You really think so?¡± Gary replied as Pat walked towards me with the remote control in her hand.
Lights dimmed, candle light on, champagne served, soft music played:-
My heart was so empty, longing for you;
My arms were so lonely, lonely and blue;
Alone in the shadow I heard a voice cried;
A voice in the wilderness, brought comfort to me.
My all time favorite solo artist Sir Cliff Richard sings A voice in the wilderness brought comfort to me.
Gone were those fear, agony, frustrations now that Pat and I were one.
Felt afloat ¡ That dream, that invisible force appeared again! ¡°Your mission, world peace!¡± it said.
¡°Why me?¡± I challenged; ¡°Why not?¡± it said with a thunderous voice that would rock even the oceans wave into tsunamis.
¡°E.A.R.T.H. and I mean it!¡± it sounded while disappearing into thin air again.
¡°No! No! No!! Melissa, help!¡± I shouted as I jumped to hug my honey beside me; it was Pat instead of Melissa, to her dismay.
¡°I hate that woman, and you; so anti-climate!¡± she cried.
Had to make up then with lots of sweet talks, apology, and top up with icing on the cake ¨C sex before we dress up for this morning¡¯s trade fair.
Chapter Four
The Agony of Trade Fair
¡°We are proud to introduce to you, our honorable guests, the historical evident and cultural heritage of 600 years, starting from this Malacca River; where civilization to this part of the river plateau began.¡± Said the City Mayor, His Excellency Bernard James.
¡°At the height of the 15th century, traders from all over, Europe, South Africa, Hindi Oceans, China, Nusantara, Indonesia, South pacific, you just name it, they¡¯re stopping over for refreshments and trade here in Malacca.
Our Malacca port then could cater for 2000 ships with ships up to 200 tons could dock adjacent to the Bastion of the Middleburg, which we have just uncovered recently.
Moreover, within the fortress was a cultural melting port of various communities communicating with not less than 80 languages¡¡.
Perhaps, in fact surely, this must have contributed positively towards our present peace and harmony in diversity Malaysian society; the role modal of the world!
With continuous peace and harmony always on our minds in whatever we indulged, I hereby declare the Malacca Trade Fair officially open! Enjoy your stay in Malacca, thank You.¡± Mayor end his speech to the thunderous applause of the crowd.
¡°Gary, you had a wonderful secretary in Kelly, you know that?¡± the Mayor said pointing to Kelly in her lovely yellow evening gown with high heels from Jimmy¡¯s collection.
¡°Kelly, my dear, come toast and drink to this happy occasion with Gary, your boss.¡± Mayor¡¯s invited Kelly over.
Obviously still fuming over my shouting of Melissa instead of Pat/Kelly; she smiled hesitantly with the Mayor while she looked me in the eyes as if she could swallow me once and for all together to quench her frustrations, she certainly would¡¡need I say more?
¡°E.A.R.T.H., Enlightened Attitude Resolved Tensions and Hatred; that it, I¡¯ve found it. Least could be true with Kelly, ah Pat, ah what the hack? Whatever? Whoever?¡± I was talking to myself that I couldn¡¯t care less what was happing around.
