Letter of Resignation

Managing Director,

Dear Sir,

Re: Letter of Resignation

I tender herewith my letter of resignation effective today with one month notice.

I take this opportunity to thank the Management and staffs for their kind support during my stay with the company.

I remain.

Yours sincerely, Note: after deducting leaves pending, my last

day shall be the 24^th of this month.

¡±Honey, I knew what you been through of late, but why out of no where this letter?¡± Gary asked Kelly with disbelieve.

¡°Hold on, Gary; take it easy now listen and you listen well! I tender my resignation for the good of the company. I don¡¯t want people to question why a lady boss of a big corporation like ours needs to punch in and punch out.¡±

Kelly seems to be giving a lecture instead.

¡°You mean?¡± Gary was stunned for words.

¡°Yes, and from today onwards don¡¯t call me honey no more; I¡¯d be your Mrs. Chairman Charles by next week the latest!¡± Kelly voiced her confidence.

If not for the intercom, Gary would continue to be speechless. ¡°Gary, Charles here, could you come on over to my room?¡± ¡°Right away, sir.¡± Gary on the double.

¡°Gary, come sit down here. I saw Kelly in your room and I guess you must have known all; but not quite my son. To cut it short, I was framed!¡± Charles said reluctantly.

¡°By?¡± Gary continued. ¡°Who else? She has our tapes.¡± Charles lowered his usual loud tone of voice. ¡°From now on you better on 100% alert. As for me, gone case.¡± Charles said. ¡°Not quite, with ¡®Art of War¡¯ plus you and me, we shall be invincible, right?¡± Gary said with highest of confidence. ¡°Then what shall be done?¡± Charles asked Gary. ¡°Let me know from the beginning¡­.¡±

Note: Refer Chapter Nine: What a Show Down - Left were only memories and the sound of the ( RECORDER), playing throughout these precious moment, time of intimacy that only those in ¡®love¡¯ would ever understood; or would they rather not?

Chapter 22

Master of Tactician at His Best

¡°Chairman, Mayor, over hear, come sit down and order your drinks.¡± Gary called for both. ¡°What about me, am I being forgotten?¡± Kelly suddenly appears to meet these guys.

¡°Come on over, sit beside me come. Your drinks?¡± Gary greeted Kelly as if he knew nothing. While they¡¯re having their morning tea, some heavy happenings back in the office.

Svetlana distributed a inter memo to all staffs:-

From the desk of the MD

Please be informed that Miss Kelly K had tender her resignation as our company¡¯s¡¯ Confidential Secretary, with one month¡¯s notice, effective 2^nd Sept.

After due considerations, we had no choice but to accept her untimely resignation; which after deducting all leaves pending, her last day with us shall be the 24^th of the month.

On behalf of the management, we wish her good luck and all the best in all her future endeavors.

Note: Henceforth effective immediately until further informed on the contrary, all matters pertaining to Kelly¡¯s work shall be temporarily taken over by Svetlana.

(Rumors within office have it that she¡¯s marrying a multi-millionaire business tycoon.)

¡°Ok, let¡¯s go visit the tunnel site ladies and gentlemen.¡± Mayor said. ¡°You all go ahead; I have something else to catch up to.¡± Charles said. ¡°But you are the Chairman of this company, shouldn¡¯t you be involved?¡± The future Mrs. Chairman intends Kelly asked. ¡°Chairman so what, I¡¯m only being appointed to the post. Actually and rightfully, all shares of this company are owned by Gary alone only. That¡¯s the way he thanked me for helping him through the last economy crises 10 years ago. That is all.¡± Chairman replied. ¡°He is one and all as far as making decisions were concerned in our organization.¡± Charles challenged Kelly¡¯s intelligence.

As Mayor and Gary proceed towards the said site, Kelly was seen walking towards the parking lot with lots of hand gesture with Charles. They must have some heavy serious stuff to mitigate.
