The Volition of Vision

HAPPY NEW YEARS!

As promised, today we begin one of many new "chapters" for 1 S.O.U.L. We will begin distributing a daily discussion titled "The Daily Manna." It is a play on word similar to the Daily News but instead of merely reporting what's going on in the world around us, we will share "manna." As most of us know manna is popularly known as the " food miraculously supplied to the Israelites in their journey through the wilderness" but in our sense we use it in its second meaning of "divinely supplied spiritual nourishment" which will hopefully from time to time provide its third meaning as well, "a usually sudden and unexpected source of gratification, pleasure, or gain." Some have correlated this manna with prana, which is "intelligent life force or energy", but we will dive into that examination at a later time.

Our focus and goal at the present is to help in nurturing complete, well-rounded and holistic individuals in body, mind and soul. Our discussions will sometimes focus on the body and we will stimulate conversation on health, diet, recipes and/or exercise. For development of the mind we may discuss various books, articles or ideas from law of attraction, metaphysics, quantum physics, education, finances, career moves or other topics that are hopefully beneficial to greater knowledge. Lastly, for the soul we will venture into first defining a more comprehensive understanding of this elusive subject matter. Many may not agree on the essence of the soul but hopefully throughout the year we will present a strong argument that there is nothing really for the soul to achieve or accomplish. The soul being an aspect of Spirit is already perfect! This may be a challenge for some to accept which is why we're using this format for people to voice their ideas and opinions.

Since this is the start of a New Year, it provides us an opportunity to assess our last year of life. We get to weigh and analyze what we accomplished and what we may not have accomplished. Many people don't like the idea of "resolutions" but, symbolically speaking, the beginning of a new year presents us an opportunity to start with a clean slate. We all from day to day make choices and decisions but rarely do we use "volition" in moving forward. Volition is defined as "an act of making a choice or decision" or "the power of choosing or determining" but is significantly different because it requires a degree of will power. When using volition we have not only decided that something is worth the undertaking but we've also resolved that there will be no other outcomes. In other words, if that particular goal is worth the effort then failure is no longer an option!

As an entity, we've decided on some rather lofty goals for our organization. We invite you as well to determine what goals you will strive to achieve for yourself. This of course starts with a clear vision. Hence, we have the "volition of vision!" Once you've made up your mind to work towards a particular accomplishment then you must not only see it as a future reality but also a current one! Whether you intend to see yourself in a new home, career, relationship or whatever then you should frequently paint a clear picture of yourself in that experience. We as beings create on three different levels - mentally, verbally and through action. They all must coincide to produce the experience. So from this day forward, choose what you intend to manifest and then use volition to produce that reality in thought, word and deed and before you know it you shall materialize that reality! We will explore more in depth in these concepts throughout the year but we leave you with this scripture... "As a man thinketh in his heart; so is he."

Blessings and we look forward to the dialogue...
