The Vortex: A Book Review

Where the Law of Attraction Assembles All Cooperative Relationships

Theresa O'Keefe
The latest book in the Law of Attraction series from Esther and Jerry Hicks is "The Vortex." This book deals with how the Law of Attraction works in conjunction with relationships. These teachings, as all the other books in the series are based on the teachings of Abraham who is channeled through Esther Hicks.

Just about every type of relationship imaginable is referenced in this book. The book is broken down into the following sections:

Part 1: Your, Vortex and the Law of Attraction: Learning to Attract Joyous Co-Creators

Part 2: Mating, and the Law of Attraction: The Perfect Mate-Getting One, Being One, Attracting One

Part 3: Sexuality, and the Law of Attraction: Sexuality, Sensuality, and the Opinions of Others

Part 4: Parenting, and the Law of Attraction: Creating Positive Parent/Child Relationships in a World of Contrast

Part 5: Self-Appreciation, and the Law of Attraction: Appreciation, the Magical Key to Your Vortex

Part 6: Transcript of Abraham Live: A Law of Attraction Workshop

This book reinforces what has been taught in the previous two books. Nothing that happens to people happens by "chance." Everything a person experiences, whether he or she believes in the Law of Attraction or not is due to their highest thought or vibration frequency.

Abraham reminds readers over and over that this is an inclusion universe. So, if a person thinks thoughts from a position of lack that is exactly what the person will get: more of "less." For example, if a woman who wants to be in a relationship constantly thinks about her situation in terms of: I don't want to be lonely, I don't want a man who will berate me, I don't want be by myself, I don't want men who only want sex, etc., since she is asking for her situation to be "remedied" from a negative standpoint or point of lack she is going to continue to be alone and the men she will attract are eventually going to berate her and just want her for sex.

Instead, that same woman needs to change her thoughts and affirmations so they are worded in the positive. She should say things like: I want to be in a healthy relationship where my mate treats me with honor and dignity and respect. I want a man who sees sex as an act shared by two people in a committed relationship, and so on.

The book offers hints on how to attain healthy co-creative relationships. Over and over again, Abraham reminds the reader that he or she must be in full alignment with their source in order for any relationship to be successful. If you are not in alignment with yourself, there's no way to have alignment with others.
