There is a new way to train your body and lose weight with just the power of walking. Walkvest.com states that the Walk Vest is a workout suit created by Debbie Rocker. The premise of the suit is to add weight to the wearer so that the added weight strengthens the muscles to lose more weight that walking alone as reported by www.walkvest.com. The product was created in 2003. The wearer can add any where from 2 to 16 pounds. This added weight accelerates the calorie and fat burning process. This suit is very conducive to people who don't like to lift weights and want accelerated results as far as weight loss.

My workout regiment is three times a week. My workouts consist of walking with some light lifting. I would walk to work early in the morning. I would break up my walk into three parts. Since I lived three long blocks from my job, I would run the three fourths of the first block and walk the rest. Then I would continue that same cycle on the next block. Then lastly, I would jog half of the last block and walk the last half. This course of action wielded amazing results. I was weighing in around 195 pounds when I first started. Within four weeks, I was down to about 170 which is my healthy weight. My diet only consisted of kosher hot dogs, ramen noodles, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I lost a lot of weight but it only took a couple of inches of my midsection.

As far as lifting, I was a big weight room junkie in high school. I have no problems with weight. I was an athlete so it was easy to eat pizza and not have any signs of gaining any weight. I would lift very heavy and I gained a lot of muscle. I also had a lot of definition. Lo and behold, almost 10 years out of high school and I have to fight to keep the pounds off. My most troublesome spot to train is my abs. I have the little pouch in front that really isn't big but it gets to me. I think the suit would perfect to help me burn fat. They say that you can train you abs muscles all that you want but if you don't shed the fat that is over it, you won't be able to see it. I think with wearing the suit and constantly pushing my body to work harder, I can shed those last few fat pounds from my midsection and have my dream six pack.

As far as a workout regiment using the suit, I would alternate my days as far as weight. I would go heavy (16 pounds) on the days when I at home because I usually run little errands that involve a lot of movement. Then on the days that I work, I would go light (4 pounds) so that when I get off work I could walk around my complex where I live and get a nice burn going. I work at a job where I am on my feet all day so it would be hard on my feet. I think the fact that I do walk all the time would be the perfect fit for this machine. It would be harder if I was used to driving all the time. This machine would fit perfect for my lifestyle.

The suit is easy to use. To add more weight, you slide a ½ weight into the small pouches located in the front of the suit. To decrease the weight, you just pull out the ½ weight. It's actually that simple. Then you just put on the suit and zip it up. It's not hard to do at all. In today's society, you have to have a product that can be easy to use and something that doesn't feel like your exercising at all. This meets that medium where the wearer just puts on the suit and does something as natural as walking.

The website www.walkvest.com is a good place to find out more about this innovative product. It includes testimonials, facts, and answers about this suit. You can also place orders for the suit. You can order the suit in sizes XS to XXL. As of Feb. 25, 2008, all of the sizes are back ordered. The promotional price right now is also listed as $49.95 plus $9.95 for shipping and handling. When you get your order, you receive one vest, eight ½ pound weights, a 20-minute workout video, and an informative brochure. This product is definitely something that you as a customer should try. I believe that it is a positive step in the right direction.
