The "Walter Winchell" of AC - Donald Pennington

Interviewed by Donald Pennington-Review

Besides just doing a review of my experience being interviewed by Donald Pennington, I wanted to say a bit about the interviewer from my perspective. I am doing this 'blind' so to speak, because I've never really met Mr.Pennington except by emails. I have taken the time to Google him, and read about him on AC.

Donald Pennington is from Associated Content by way of Pennsylvania according to his bio. He's a writer trying to quit smoking. He's been a smoker for nearly 40 years that's probably how long he's been writing. A real hardcore smoker at 2 ½ packs per day. I have visions of Donald Pennington with the hat banging away on a typewriter except with glasses. Winchell was born in New York City; Pennsylvania is a next door neighbor, close enough. I pictured being interviewed by Mr. Pennington who had a cup of coffee nearby, a cigarette burning in an ashtray, and pad and pencil in hand.Of course that's not how it was at all. In this new tech age, the whole interview took place with me answering questions on the computer. As I did so I recalled reading of Walter Winchell. The Pennington Interviews of Content Producers exhibit the same enchantment. That's how I felt about being interviewed.

Now how I felt about the actual interview itself. Mr. Pennington is a writer of high esteem at AC. He got that position by interviewing up and coming Content Producer. He authored 100's of diversified articles on plants, gardening, learning to speak German and interviews of Content Producers. Google his name and a listing of his articles will appear. He takes the time to do these interviews.

Donald Pennington has a list of his question so that you can "prepare" for your interview. The questions are simple and straight forward enough. A multitude of writers have taken advantage of the exposure. Interview reviews were described as pleasant publicity, visionary, getting exposed, obligatory, and a chance at fame. I personally found the questions thought provoking. Think before you answer, the words are in print for all to see. Mr. Pennington doesn't edit, paraphrase or change what you have to say. Say what you mean. Mean what you say. Be honest, everyone is not going to agree with your values, insights and/or beliefs. That's life!

Like many who have gone before me, I did the reflective interview. The experience was pretty pleasant and didn't take long to complete. I've joined the ranks of writers interviewed by Donald Pennington. A Content Producer recommended the experience to me. I recommend the interview to others new writers. Thanks to you Donald Pennington.
