The Wanting, the Waiting, the Bitching, the Moaning, the Groaning, the Texting, the Phoning, the Emailing and the Carpool Tunnel

The Fun Part of Life

Kurt Evans
The fact is that we live in a crazy world full of the wanting, the waiting, the bitching, the moaning, the groaning, the texting, the phoning, the emailing and the carpool tunnel.

Carpool Tunnel

I have no idea what carpool tunnel is but every time that I see somebody who has it, they're wearing a brace on their wrist that stretches to cover their forearm.

The Wanting

The wanting is part of life and the human condition. We're born wanting things, it's part of our built in desire that keeps us going in life and moving forward.

The Waiting

The waiting, is a not so fun part of life. The waiting part can go on forever if you let it. The whole thing about waiting is that you have to figure out how to be productive with your time while waiting. One of the lessons to be learned in waiting is time management.

The Bitching

The bitching is the part where you get out all your feelings and get to know yourself as a winy little pansy baby who always gets upset when things don't go their way.

The Moaning

The moaning is the part where it still fits in with the wining but in the moaning no actual words come out, only sounds of desperation escape your lips and come out into the world.

The Groaning

The groaning is like silent bitching but with no words. The groaning combines sounds of bitching and moaning but they just result in incoherent sounds that can't be understood by the human brain.

The Texting

The texting is the new phenomenon that seems kind of retarded. Rather than having a conversation, people send each other text messages back and forth on a phone that has a keypad on it. The texting has also led to new laws that say that it's illegal to text while driving because studies have shown that texting while driving is just as bad, if not worse, than drunk driving.

The Phoning

The phoning is quickly becoming a pastime. Gone are the days of having a meaningful conversation. We're becoming too busy to even talk to each other.

The Emailing

The emailing has been around since the advent of the computer. Emailing is the preferred way of communication of the masses that are technologically inclined.

The Future

The wave of the future is unknown by many but whatever the future holds, it's bound to involve some kind of technological know how that will surpass the things of the past. This means that what we're doing today, will eventually seem like child's play when compared to the things of the future.

Very nice, I laughed more than once. I actually prefer face to face conversation myself. I exit phone or text conversations as fast as possible usually. Whether I get them to come to me, or instead go to them, or just make up some random excuse as to why I cannot talk. My friends all hate it but they still put up with me. Face to face is so much more practical.

    Good article.

Face to face communication is still the best, but maybe people are too busy (or think they are) for that anymore. Good read.

Awesome read! I dislike the waiting, too, but find if I stay busy I don't notice as much :)
