The War of the Political Parties:

Obama/Biden Vs. McCain/Palin

John McCain has picked his running mate and before she can really get into the race and let us know where she stands on the issues, she first has to explain her somewhat sordid family problems. Obama has stated that families should be off limits, but the media refuses to leave it alone.

I personally have no problem with the fact that her daughter is pregnant and unmarried. My daughter became pregnant at the age of 16 and delivered my first grandchild when she was 17. Believe me, it can happen to the best of families, and has.

The issue I take with Ms. Palin is the fact that she preaches against pre-marital sex, birth control, and sex education. One would think that with commitment to moral values and family, she would have been able to take more control within her own family.

In my family my wife talked to our daughter, as did I, but in the end a sweet talking, half ass good looking young man talked her out of her panties. Don't think it can't happen to your little girl. It can! All it takes is the right conversation from the right guy under the right circumstances.

I will honestly state that when I was a young playa, if a young lady listened to me for to long, with the right background music adding ambiance, the lights down low, and if we add a couple glasses of good wine, it usually was on.

Another thing that bothers me about this situation is the fact that if Obama's little dark child was walking around with a big belly, the Right Wing Evangelicals would have a field day with it and we all know that. With the Palin situation, they are saying it is personal family business.

I totally agree with that sentiment, but as I said, they would be crucifying Obama at this time. I find this to be very hypocritical of the Right in this. They are tying Obama to The Right Crazy Reverend Wright when anyone with eyes can see that the man means Obama no good. It is said within the congregation that the Rev. didn't begin these kinds of diatribes until Obama announced he was running for the office of President.

They tape all the sermons for the shut ins and invalids of the congregation and no further explosive tapes have been found. Now he has said something else that has inflamed the conservatives. He said that now a Black woman could sleep in the White House legally. They want to know what he means by that. There are a few thoughts.

But look at the animosity between the parties. It is almost blood-lust. It seems to me that some conservatives speak of liberals with more anger than they do our enemies, which our young men and women are fighting and being killed by. The hate is palpable.

Personally I find this to be a special time in history. Not only is a Black man running for the highest office in the land, a woman is running to be the VP of that same country. Just think about it. Two people who at one time were thought of as second class individuals now have the opportunity to be in the halls of power.

We have a lot of issues to address. The economy, gas prices, the war, health-care and a host of other issues. I for one don't see why either Obama or McCain would want to be President at this point in time. They have one helluva job before them.
