The War of the Rosie

Donald Brings yet Another Smack Down to "the Bulldozer"

Miss Faith
Unless you have been living under a rock, you should be fully aware of the squabble going back and forth between Donald Trump and Rosie O'Donnell. The argument began in December of 2006 when Rosie made snide comments on The View about Donald's decision on the Miss USA situation, along with his finances or lack there of, and many other factors. Well after bickering back and forth for weeks and both sides getting in some pretty low blows, Donald has one-upped Rosie.

It seems that Mr. Trump has released a letter to many media outlets (including Fox news) that was addressed to Miss O'Donnell. Here is what the letter said in its entirety:

"Dear Rosie:

I hope you had a wonderful vacation with your wife---you needed the rest.

An Article in today's New York Post indicates that you blew up at Barbara Walters for being a "liar". Actually, I don't blame you, but in fact she lied to both of us! After your maniacal and foolish rant against me two weeks ago, Barbara called me from her vacation house (I did not call her) in order to apologize for your behavior. She had heard that I was going to retaliate against you and tried to talk me out of it. She very much wanted me to go on the show as soon as she got back so she could "patch things up" (I said no). To be exact, she said that "working with her is like living in hell" and, more pointedly, "Donald, never get into the mud with pigs" and, "don't worry, she won't be here for long". Barbara knows exactly what she told me over the phone and she has to live with it. Perhaps that's why her initial statement was so mild!

In another incident, when I saw her eating at Le Cirque about two months ago and asked how "Rosie was doing", she sarcastically rolled her eyes and said "Donald, do you have to ruin my meal."

In any event, you have good reason to be angry. Please give my warmest regards to Kelly!

Sincerely,

Donald J. Trump

P.S. I was surprised that you let your spat with Barbara get into the newspapers, but, as I have always said and you proved with Rosie, the magazine, you are very self destructive. You must work on this for your own good!"

The letter is authentic and Fox news actually verified its authenticity through a representative of Mr. Trump, which stated that the letter was indeed also sent to Rosie.

To further stir the battle and bring Barbara into the situation even more, Rosie was allegedly caught making comments about Barbara being an "(expletive) liar" on Monday morning, according to Page Six gossip column. The Post also stated that The View Producer and Barbara had tried to soothe Rosie, but she wanted nothing to do with it. Supposedly Rosie was caught saying "You didn't call me for ten (expletive) days, and you didn't tell me what you were going to say on television!" Apparently The Post also reported that on Monday the Producer, Bill Geddie, told Rosie while backstage that she had "crossed the line" when she went off about Barbara.

Page Six sources also reported Rosie as saying "Cameras are now outside of my house where my wife and kids are." She supposedly also said to Barbara "You went all around this and never called [Trump] a liar. You never said, 'Donald is lying.' You never called him a liar ... Are you looking me in the face and denying you didn't tell him you didn't say this? You're a [expletive] liar."

Even after all of the comments and controversy, a publicist for The View stated Barbara has been supportive of Rosie since day one of the battle and basically everyone has moved on and gone about their normal lives. We will have wait and see if their tune changes on The View tomorrow, since the letter from Donald has been widely published.
And actually upon receiving this letter, Fox news contacted The View, only to be told to "tune in tomorrow" since both Rosie and Barbara will be there. We shall see what comes of this, but for some reason I think this is far from over.
