The Warrior Song

Boosting the Morale of the Armed Forces

Susan Leak
When singer, songwriter, producer Sean Householder saw several articles and new stories back to back on how morale is low within today's military, he found it discouraging. Although never in the Armed Forces himself, he recalls how his Grandfather and others spoke about their time in the service and how it was their honor to serve and to fight for what we all take for granted - Freedom.

"Watching the Military Channel one night with the low morale issue spinning through my mind, I saw them show a clip of some brave men in uniform marching and singing out their cadence and the song just came....it just kept flowing out of me." says Sean.

" There are many songs and videos honoring the fallen, but far too few honoring those who have served and are serving to protect us today, I just wanted to give them a little something to say thanks."

The Warrior Song is far from a 'little something', it is a labor of love and a stunning tribute to our Military.

Done in 'Cadence' style, Sean not only wrote this, but he performed it. It sounds like there is a whole platoon marching and singing this, but in reality there is just Sean. He laid down 45 tracks of himself singing and with the help of some awesome mixers they combined them to give the whole Company effect. " I just did it over and over and over again. I couldn't speak for a week afterwards." laughed Sean.

The Warrior Song is tough, the lyrics are in-your-face bold, with a drumbeat (courtesy of Bernie Pershey), that gives you the visual of our finest marching proudly.

When asked about the lyrics, Sean simply said that "That is what our troops need." Sean continued , "They need to feel like they are invincible, but more importantly they need to know that WE believe they are invincible. In the situations and the conditions they are fighting in, they need to feel like there is nothing that can stop them. I believe their odds of survival and success are better if their morale is higher."

"The Warrior Song" is currently for sale to the public on iTunes for .99 cents. Every purchase supports members of the United States military, as the profits derived from its sale will be donated to the Armed Forces Relief Trust, to be dispersed by, and at the discretion of, the respective charities operated by the Navy/Marines, Army, Coast Guard, Air Force, and National Guard. Full disclosure of the donations is available on the website.

Active duty and former servicemen and women can receive a free copy via email by simply requesting one.

The Warrior Song is Dedicated to all veterans and active personnel, in all branches of the United States Armed Forces, with a special dedication for Sean's Grandfathers, both who served us in WWII. His paternal Grandfather served in the Navy. His maternal Grandfather was in the Army, he passed away this year.

Sean did have some help putting this together, including James De Vito, US Marine Corps and Rock Williams assisting on vocals. "I could not have done this without all of the help I received, namely Sean Hurwitz on guitar and Justin Sullivan who gave it the 'wobble beat'. Sachiko De Vito, Kashan Curry, and Robb Hendrick also had such crucial roles in making this rock." says Sean.

"I also want to thank the overwhelmingly positive response the song is receiving, it makes the whole project worthwhile"

Nice to see someone finally appreciating those that serve currently. They do not get appreciated enough for being brave and courageous enough to defend what this country stands for.

This song is really motivational especially if you've ever served (12 year Marine vet here). I listen to it at least once a day (usually more the 5-10) while sitting at my desk. Sure makes me miss my brothers and sisters in arms.

Sean, thank you again and you deserve all the good that can come your way.
