The West Bend Glass Covered Skillet

Put away the cast iron skillet and move into modern technology with a new kitchen innovation by West Bend Housewares, LLC. This 12" electric skillet is the answer to perfect cooking and has a few perks to make it even better than the traditional type used in most households today.

Despite its low cost (approx $20 at discount store), this is a very nice addition to the cooking world. The large capacity cooking area allows a full meal to be prepared or for smaller projects like appetizers. For a full meal or quick heat-ups, this light weight skillet can handle the job. From pork chops to scrambling eggs, this is the product for you.

The clear glass cover allows you to watch as your meal is being prepared. No more being burnt by popping grease or sudden gushes of heat in your face when checking on your meal. With an adjustable, easy to read heat control, meals are cooked to perfection without having to remove the cover.

Its aluminum base cooking area allows for a quick heat-up and an easier method of maintaining the proper heat for even cooking. The non-stick interior and exterior makes for easy cleaning. With its detachable plug-in temperature control removed, it is ready to immerge into the dishwater or placed into the dishwasher for easy clean-up.

When your meal is prepared, the skillet can be used as an attractive serving dish. Simply remove the heat control handle and place your meal on the table. Two handy handles lets you carry the skillet where it will stand on four durable legs. Be prepared for compliments.

My wife decided we needed this product. I wasn't sure. But since the day we bought it at a local discount store, it has become mine. I am a dyed-in-the-wool, cast iron person. I love to cook and am very particular about my kitchenware. I am not only sold on this product but it has become one of my favorite utensils. In fact, I love mine.

So far, I have used my skillet to fry chicken, make a casserole, do a stir fry, steak in gravy, and even prepared pancakes. Do I like this skillet? Oh, yes! I like it enough I also bought one for my daughter and plan to give more to friends next Christmas. You might want to shop around on prices when you plan to buy. I have seen prices vary from $19.99 at the local discount store to $50 at a retail mall.

The only thing I see wrong with the WEST BEND skillet is my name is not on it. Okay, I'm not George Foreman BUT I do love my West Bend skillet enough to put my name there..

You will too.
