The Whispers of Autumn

Venus Rachal
Autumn whispers
through fall en leaves;
breezes of color carry her voice.
She begins bright,
singing red and green,
then fades...
into gold and brown.
Echoes of Autumn remain
in still, silent trees
that have wept their fruits
to the ground.
The wind carries
her words to my heart
and I fall
under her spell.
And, together,
we weep
for the loss
of Spring.
