The White Casket

Johnny Yuma
The white casket held the small body of a child only two.
We waited so long for our darling daughter to come.
Now she is gone.
She went home alone.
We can never bring her back, but we can go to her.
In time we will be reunited with our daughter in that mansion in the sky.
God will take us to be with her--
Take us home to be with our darling baby lying there in the white casket.

It is very very hard to loose a child, I lost my oldest to a hit and run driver who has still not been to court, he is still waiting for a trial by jury, it was daylight when my son was killed, and the driver who killed our son, is known to of been drinking, speeding and talking on a cellphone, at the time he hit our son, my husband and second oldest son found him.
You never want to find your child dead. Ever. It is just horrible, and I never ever want to go to any more funerals not even mine, I want to leave in the rapture.

Unfortunately, I am all too familiar with this subject. Good poem to express that horrible feeling.

Wow... I'm glad it wasn't about your daughter, but someone else felt the pain of losing their little girl, so it's just as sad.
