The White Marsh Blvd. Farmers Market in Baltimore

Many of us are fond of buying fresh fruits and vegetables in order to remain healthy and fit. There are many limited sources of such fresh fruits and vegetables in the USA. I have come across one such source very recently during last Friday when I visited the farmers' market held at White marsh at the Avenue situated at 8125, Honeygo Blvd. Baltimore, Maryland- 21236. This farmers' market just started from 11th July and would continue till the end of October. This farmers' market takes place on every Friday from 11th July from 10 am to 1 pm. Though, we visited this market on the first day of this summer season, it was found full of many fresh products from all the famous farms near the city of Baltimore.

There are around eight farmhouses that bring the fresh produce for sale here at this farmers' market. The first farm is Brad's produce. This farm provides a large variety of fresh produce and green house flowers like squash, cucumbers, zucchini, eggplant, tomatoes, cantaloupes, watermelons, sweet bell peppers, hot banana peepers, jalapeno peppers, and the sweet corn. All items were found to be fresh and tempting. The Bee's by the bay was the next farm whose products were available for sale. They offer selection of local and regional honey, hand rolled and hand dipped taper candles, votives, and tea lights made of bees wax. One bottle of pure honey of 16 oz was costing $5. These rates are really reasonable.

The Breadery had lot of varieties of fresh, whole grain breads, baked from scratch in their bakery brought directly from the oven. Fresh stone ground flour is used to make incredibly tasty breads full of nutrition. The cost of each loaf of bread was around $4. The Gerst farm also provides varieties of fruits and vegetables like lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries, and blue berries. The Hill's Forest Fruit farm offers fresh beets, asparagus, rhubarb, spinach, collards, eggs, strawberries, and various plantations available during this time of the year. The next farm that supplies their fresh produce is the Richardson's farm. They also provide sweet corn, tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, hot peepers, radishes, beets, turnips, string beans, pumpkins, gourds, cornstalks, and all varieties of fall flowers. The Wilson's Farm market has peaches, plums, nectarines, cucumbers, sweet corn, green beans, apples both in red and green varieties, mums, sweet onions, and raspberries. In addition to this, Emerge Greenhouses specialize in assorted annuals, hanging baskets, assorted perennials, hydrangeas, and mums.

We were really surprised at the rates at which all these fresh products were sold. They were at least 35 % less than the well-known city grocery stores. Moreover their quality and freshness was excellent. Though, we had gone to this market just to take a round of it, we ended up buying the fresh fruits and vegetables worth around $50 or so. Since than, we had tried all these products and were very happy with them. We feel that instead of buying our regular requirements from the grocery stores, it would really be worthwhile to buy such items from such Farmers' market that provides us all the fresh and tasty products instead of the products stored in a refrigerator since long.

We have now decided to buy such items from this farmers' market that is held near our residence every Friday. I also strongly recommend all my AC friends to find out such Farmers' markets that are held near to their homes and take their full benefits by purchasing such products from there. This would mean lot of financial saving as well as it would lead you to healthy and fit life.
