The Wicked Woman

The Bard School of Thought
Many moons ago, there lived a woman called Alice.
Alice was a very horrible person who delighted in hurting other people.
Every day she would go down to the shops and look for someone to poke fun at, tell lies about and hit!

One day Alice met somebody who tried to be friends with her but no! Alice, who was a spoiled child and used to having the best of everything, did not think that this person was good enough to be her friend, so she treated her very badly, spitting at her and hitting her when ever she got the chance and when no one was looking.

Eventually Alice grew old and died, and when she arrived at the gates of heaven, she expected God to let her in!
"Ha!" exclaimed God "What ever made you think that someone like you could enter through the gates of heaven?"
"I have been very charitable in my life." Said Alice. "I have given to good causes and paid all my bills on time!"

"You have been a very wicked woman Alice!" God replied.
"Made worse by the fact that you are trying to lie even to God who was watching when you were being cruel to others.
There is a law that governs good conduct on Earth." Went on God
"And that is, that you do not do to others that which you would not like others to do unto you!
This means Alice that you have to go back to Earth and be treated as badly as you treated others."

Well Alice was mortified when she heard this. "Please God!" Cried Alice.
"Don't do this to me."

God thought very deeply about this and he thought also of the cruel and nasty things that Alice had done.
"Well." Thought God out loud."

"You will have to go back and accept your punishment for that is the way of things for everyone before they enter into heaven.
However, you do not get to go back just yet.
It is the way of things also, that for every time you hit a person once, you will be hit three times worse by the grace of God!
Unfortunately this is the law.
Now because at this time there's no soul on Earth who would want to be that cruel to another person, you have to join the queue of devils, waiting to go back!
So you won't have to go just yet but you will have to wait in line, like the rest."

Well Alice felt relieved by this, thinking that she would have time to prepare herself for her next life and she went to join the back of the queue.
Thought Alice to herself.
"I shall count how many like me there are to go back!
So as she walked she counted

And that's how many wicked people were in the cue and how long Alice had would have to wait to pay what was due!
