The Winter Edition Oreo Cookies

I love Oreo cookies, my whole household enjoys them. They are our favorite cookies you can buy at a store, my homemade cookies are really the favorite in the house. I picked up a package of the Winter Oreo cookies a couple of days ago. They are the same as the Double Stuff Oreo, extra filling in between two chocolate cookies, except they have red filling instead of the classic white filling. They also have four different winter designs on the chocolate cookies. The designs are a gingerbread man, a snowflake, a pair of ice skates and a snowman. I believe all the packages had the same designs, these are the designs that were in the package I bought.

My kids enjoyed the decorations on the cookies and thought they were cool with the red filling. I liked them too, Oreo cookies are a favorite and they are decorative for the season. They do not taste any different from the regular Double Stuff so they really are nice to have around the house for the holidays.

I only have one problem with them but it can be easily prevented. The red filling stains the carpet very easily. I never worry about putting cookies up out of reach as my kids are good about only taking one or two at a time. They are not good about staying at the table when eating their cookies though. It took me a day to figure out why I had red stains in my carpet until my youngest sat by the couch with her cookie and a little piece broke off. I noticed that the stain matched the piece of filling that had fallen onto the floor. This will not prevent me from buying another box, just enforce the eating them at the table rule. I recommend trying them if you like Oreo cookies, just watch the kids with them so you do not get stains on the carpet.
