The Woman Inside

Penny White
The woman inside
isn't worried about weight or appearance;
she doesn't fret over a slice of apple pie or a scoop of ice cream
because she knows life is too short to worry about such trivial things.

The woman inside
fears nothing; she bravely faces every challenge before her
never knowing defeat;
there is no such thing as failure
because every step of defeat
merely touches another stone on the path to success.

The woman inside
sees the world through a child's eyes;
there are still ~ and always will be ~
wonders and marvels to appreciate.

The woman inside
is nowhere near perfect
but well-practiced in the art of self-forgiveness.

The woman inside
is a champion,
a legend in her own time,
a diva in her own mind;
those who cannot see this woman inside
choose not to see or are blind.
This woman inside,
she and I,
we reflect each other.

Life is short.
Eat dessert first.
