The Wonders of Music

Danielle Atkinson
Whether you're sad, happy, jumpy, angry or any other emotion you should feel, music is always there to share your feelings with you. If you're sad, listen to a sad song. Let the slow and sweet melody cry along with you. Allow the lyrics to come out of your mouth to sing your problems out in the open. Or if you're happy. Put some crazy music on and dance. Get hyped up and pretend you are on stage. Who cares if you can't sing or dance as well as professionals. Pretend everyone in the crowd is cheering you on and is so amazed at what you're doing. It's your day dream. Allow the beats of the music to take you places. Allow your mind to just wander wherever it wants to go. Maybe a sad song about death. Do you miss a loved one? Sing it to them. Sing how much you miss them and wish they were here. Pretend they are standing right in front of you. Don't shut them in the dark just because you can't see them anymore. They will still see and hear how much you miss them.

Are you hyped up? Put some fast music on. Hey, go nuts to the Macarena. Make new dance moves. Show your imaginary audience that you have a different style of dancing for this song. Your dream, you're the boss. Or maybe you have friends over and have enough to be the new Spice Girls. Just admit it, their songs weren't bad. Maybe you're a fan of Jazz. Imagine yourself in a Jazz club. What a wonderful world to pretend you're in. Playing the trumpet as good as Louis Armstrong. But you ain't seen nothin' yet. You could pretend you're singing just as good as Al Jolson.

Heavy Metal psycho? Why not? It's a good genre of music too. Side affects may be headaches. But fans of this music can rock on and play air guitar in their room or in the lounge room. Go screaming round the house. Whatever the occasion, whatever the mood or feelings you have. Music is always there to share it with you. And no matter what, in your own little world of music. You are the best singer or dancer there is. Have fun.
