The Wonders of the Pentax Optio E10 Digital Camera

I can not live without my Pentax Optio E10. I bought this digital camera to take pictures of my growing daughter. I needed something sufficient enough to get the job done without the complicated controls and I found that in the small Pentax Optio E10. At first sight, I marveled at it's sleek silver hue, high resolution 2.4 inch LCD monitor and lightweight body, but I was overwhelmed with all the buttons, but this was only because I had never seen a digital camera up close before, until I actually bought one. The feeling of being overwhelmed quickly subsided as the Pentax Optio E10 manual provided, concise and easy steps to follow. In less than ten minutes I had the camera up and running!

The camera has some incredible features for its incredibly low price of $149.99. One of my favorite features is the simple mode dial that automatically enables the camera to set the still image photo settings, excluding quality and size. This mode makes picture taking easy for the beginner. The Pentax Optio E10 also includes seven other modes; a set up mode, a movie mode, night scene mode, sport mode, portrait mode ,landscape mode and program mode. The movie mode is a favorite of mine, this mode enables the camera to record movie clips , the play back is clear and the sound is very sharp, the only setback is that the movie clip is soundless when it's played back on the camera, sound can only be achieved once the camera is attached to a computer, or television. The 6.0 megapixles which determine image quality, have allowed me to take incredible pictures, I have taken remarkable pictures of the ocean and of my daughter. The camera also, has a 3x optical zoom lens for wide- angle pictures, and it is travel convenient because it runs on simple, easy to obtain 2 AA batteries (or alkaline, Ni-MH rechargeable.)

This camera is also pictbridge compatible which allows you to print from the camera to any pictbridge printer without using a computer, The PC/AV terminal allows you to connect a USB cable or an AV cable to the camera, and the DC input terminal allows you to connect an adapter (3V) to the camera as an alternative towards using batteries. The Pentax Optio E10 even has a tripod socket, for tripod mounting, a self timer so that you can take pictures with out having to hold the camera. The camera only has 10mb of internal memory so if you are like me and love to take lots and lots of pictures than I would suggest purchasing a 512MB memory card.

The Pentax Optio E10 is a small digital camera with simplistic operation. This digital camera is loaded with amazing features that make it easy for even a first time user of digital cameras to take high quality photos. I would definitely recommend this camera, it has allowed me to capture the most valuable moments of my daughter's life which are so very essential to me. I am not a very materialistic being but I do cherish this Pentax Optio E10. It's so small but it contains images of milestones.
