The Woolly Mammoth- the Differences Between Men and Women

MJ
You can argue whatever you want: men and women are different as black and white. I don't believe for one second that there is a "feminine" side to men and that there is a "male side" to women. Not that I've ever spoken to a woman who even wanted a "male" side. But not once during the bear-hugging and backslapping these days (even complete strangers seem to engage in this weird pastime) did the conversation drift to our "male side".
The males that I've encountered during my little market-research on the subject vehemently denied they have a "feminine" side to them.
"What about a sort of soft side then?" I asked the males. A rather stern "No" came back.
It seems that the differences go way, way back.

When there were still Woolly Mammoths, life was different. At first, I believe, we didn't have homes to go to. We might have had tents and lived on the move.
Of course we women, put our (bare) foot down at a certain point. This was no life; although Interior Designing was still at the embryo stage, we wanted a place where we could hang up the curtains an have a good old chat.
Also, the men were quite happy to walk around in the pouring rain, but since the umbrella wasn't invented yet, this was not doing a lot for our hair.
So I'm pretty sure the first cave ever lived in was found by a woman.
The much admired cave-paintings of today were definitely designed and done by the stay-at-home cave woman.

The males, in the meantime, went hunting. The Woolly Mammoth, not a silly animal, knew it was hunted, so the men needed to be quiet. No chatting whatsoever, for days on end probably. This behavior is still seen in todays male. Look in any pub, they sit in preferably in a group, huddling but not talking very much. This goes back to the campfire and the hunting days.
This would explain why men reply, if asked what they are thinking, "nothing" .
When out hunting, they were probably too hungry to think of anything.

When the hunt was successful, and the animal was brought to the cave, the men could make noise once again. This was a joyous occasion after all, food on the table. This behavior is best seen on rugby fields, football fields etc.

The women of course, never had to be silent in the cave. They spent their time chatting. Discussing important things an knitting scarves out of entrails.

This is in my totally unscientific opinion, the root why men are different from women.

I never knew I could write until I joined AC. I paint, I write, love animals and ironing. (no not the last one but it looked better).  View profile
