The Word Game with Tracie Walker -- My Attempt at the Word Game

A Simple, Fun Writing Exercise Requiring You to Include Five Random Words as Part of Your Article

The Word Game... The Word Game... Hm. It has a nice ring to it, doesn't it? The syllables just flow together in a way that it rolls off your tongue. The Word Game.

The rules are simple, really. Go to Tracie Walker's profile, read her Word Game, and ask her to join. She'll get back to you with five words of a random nature that you have to include in any article in any way you deem appropriate.

When you get your five words, go to town! Use up some of that writing energy and write an awesome article for the Word Game.

What else can I say about the game? Well, it's fun. It's creative. Try it.

That aside, I need to include my other words. Let's see... Today, I woke up listening to my favorite band. (I sleep with my iPod, so you can see why I would wake up listening to my favorite band.) But point is, it was nice to start off the day that way.

Unfortunately, my day continued rather shabbily. I also woke up with a very sore throat. Thankfully, I had strawberry-flavored cough drops. But that reminds me, have you see those sore throat lollipops? It's a fun way to eat a cough drop, but alas, I had none.

My busy day continued. On and on - endless, seemingly - but it's finally over now. To add to my busy schedule, it started down-pouring. The rain has been coming down in sheets and sheets the past couple of hours. The run-off from the roof sounds like a waterfall.

And now, I'm out of words. If you are curious and can't tell from the words in bold, my words are the following: waterfall, band, energy, lollipop and ring.

Fun, isn't it? Give it a try. Go here and get in touch with Tracie Walker, and while you're at it, show her some page view love.

Thanks, Tracie.

Yay, Morgan, very creative and lots of fun! You put a unique slant on the game. I am curious though, what is your favorite band?
