Rap fans have recently come to know that the newest Bone Thugs N Harmony album release, "Uni 5", is now called "The World's Enemy", and the release date has been moved up toMarch 2, 2010. First announced in the official BTNH website forum and on DJ U-Neek's Twitter page (long-time producer), the album will feature all five members of the Grammy-award winning rap group on an official album release for the first time in ten years.

The Uni5 Project - Before "The World's Enemy"

The Uni5 project began after Flesh n Bone (one of the original founding members) was released from prison on July 13th, 2008. The last time all five of the group performed together was in the late 90s, during which the group's distinctive style of flowing speed-rap launched them to critical acclaim. After reuniting, Bizzy Bone described in an interview with HipHopDX in August about how far they've come with their newest music, stating that they were working hard at bringing a new musical style and adding tracks to the over 200 they already completed for their new album.

On December 1st, 2008, the group came together on-stage in a sold out performance at Club Nokia in Los Angeles, marking a huge movement together as rap artists and showing the world that it was only the beginning.

In the release news of Uni5, Krayzie Bone emphasized: "We are just like any real family - we fight and have disagreements, but at the end of the day, we are brothers, from our skin down to our Bones! Bone Thugs-N-Harmony will be a family, unit, team, and group always!"

Tech N9ne Collaboration and Released Songs from "The World's Enemy"

Prolific collaborative rapper Tech N9ne has been confirmed to be working with Bone Thugs N Harmony on The World's Enemy. One song is already released, titled "Speed of Sound", featuring Chicago based rapper, Twista. It can be found here on YouTube. Tech N9ne described in an interview with MTV that he was excited to be working with the group after Krayzie Bone contacted him about signing on with Warner Bros.

In late August, Bone Thugs released a remix of Jay Z's D.O.A., which consisted of all five members and Jay Z's chorus.

There are five released songs (as street singles) from the album so far on YouTube: "Let Ya Self Go", "Wanna Ride", "No More (No Mas)", "The Game Aint Ready", and "Nuff Respect."

The Uni5 name was officially renamed to "The World's Enemy" and release notes were posted in the official news forum. It will be under the group's new label, BTNH Worldwide/Warner Bros. It will also feature T-Pain, Keisha Cole, Akon, Timbaland, Big Boi of Outkast, and others in the production.

The Future of Bone Thugs N Harmony

The year of 2009 is shaping up to be a big year for Bone Thugs N Harmony. Strength and Loyalty was their most recent release but perhaps it is The World's Enemy that will really bring them back to the forefront of rap music and ignite the spark to revitalize the genre in time for the next decade. With all five back together, the anticipation is set high forMarch 2, 2010.
