According to the company's product sheet, the Epson Stylus C120's has the DURAbrite ultra inks technology which Epson claims, can make smudge free and water resistant prints on both plain and photo paper and can even withstand highlighters on plain paper. The Epson C120 also has individual ink cartridges so that users will only have to replace the ink color that needs to be changed and has dual black cartridges and one standard ink set for document and photo printing. The C120 also incorporates Epson's Auto Photo Correction technology that can correct lighting in poorly exposed images for better prints and has face detection that can distinguish people from scenery and automatically corrects the color. Epson also placed their Advanced DX3 MicroPiezo print head technology feature unto the Epson Stylus C120. This advanced print head technology features smart nozzles that can produce and precisely place three sizes of ink droplets. The Epson C120 is also compatible with BorderFree photo printing in 3.5" x 5", 4" x 6", 5" x 7", and 8" x 10" sizes and can print from paper up to the size of 8.5" x 44". The C120 can connect via USB 2.0 and is compatible with Windows Vista, XP Profession, 2000, and Mac OS.
R. Craig Allen, Epson's product manager in their Consumer Ink Jet Printers Division said that the Epson Stylus C120 printer is perfect for customers who are thinking of buying an entry-level laser printer. The Epson C120, according to Allen does not only have the black text speed of a laser printer but also color printing and photo capabilities at a very affordable price. "Whether customers want to print presentations or brochures to market their business or simply need to print everyday documents like school reports or driving directions, the Epson C120 has what they need," Allen said.
Epson is already shipping the Epson Stylus C120 and will be available fro $89.99 in major computer stores, office and electronics stores nationwide.
