Directions for The World's Greatest Turkey Pastrami Sandwich Recipe
1
Prepare the vegetables.
After washing the tomato, slice it into small pieces. Set aside. Peel the red onion and cut it into strips. You will only need about half of the onion, depending on how much onion you like on your sandwich.2
Saute the onion.
In a shallow pan, add the olive oil and onions over medium heat until the onions are tender. Remove from heat.3
Assemble and grill the sandwich.
On a separate plate put together the remanining ingredients, with the onions and tomato between the pastrami and the slices of cheese. After adding the mustard, spray a different shallow pan with nonstick spray and place over medium heat. Grill the sandwich as you would a grilled cheese sandwich, heating it for 5 minutes, turning the sandwich as needed so that the bread doesn't burn.
