The most expensive dog ever sold
According to http://www.dogcentral.info/worlds-10-expensive-dog-breeds/ "The most expensive dog ever sold was recently in March 2011, a red "Tibetan mastiff" called Big Splash, or "Hong Dong" in Chinese. This most expensive dog ever is already 11 months-old and already stands nearly three-feet-high at the shoulder and weighs more than 180lbs, says his breeder, Lu Liang. He was purchased by a Chinese multi-millionaire coal baron. 'Big Splash' sold for an amazing 10 million Yuan which is about 1.5 million US Dollars and beats the earlier record set by another Tibetan Mastiff " called Yangtze River Number Two which was sold to a Chinese woman in 2009 for a whopping 4 million Yuan (About $609,000). But this still doesn't make the Tibetan Mastiff generally the most expensive dog breed"
If you want to buy an old farm house on a lot of land out in the country and begin to breed dogs. You may want to breed some of the world's most expensive creatures. Here they are, The Samoyed runs ($3,000-$8,000). And of course you will want to purchase two to begin your venture or purchase one and pay a hefty fee to sire the mate. It's an all white snowball, curly tail model. The Samoyed is a medium size dog not to large and not too small with an outstandingly sweet disposition. As many of you know sometimes when you purchase a full breed, pure bread dog, you get a quirky disposition. It really is a tossup but sometimes you just do. You may also get obscure medical issues from un-ethical breeders or just the bloodline itself. The Chow-Chow which made the list as one of the worlds priciest and specifically the brindle purple tongue breed runs ($1,300-$3,500). Martha Stewart happily owns one of these dogs.
British Breed dogs appear to do well on the money board. The English Bulldog runs ($2,000-$5,000) and the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel goes for ($800-$3,500)
- · The Norfolk Terrier runs ($2,000-$3,000)
- · The Japanese Akita ranks in at ($1,500-$3,500), The pure white Akita is the rarest version.
- · The Yorkshire Terrier ($800-$3,000)
- · The Golden Retriever ($300-$3,500)
- · The Australian Shepherd ($900-$2,000)
- · The Pomeranian ($500-$2,100)
My best advice is unless you genuinely want to retire or change careers and become a breeder just do what I did get a "free dog". Infact get two like me. There are so many loving pets in the world that need a good home, just get a free dog from the pound or a rescue. My guess is you will be just as happy.
