The World's Shortest Man Has Died

The world's shortest man has died in Italy, he was there to take part in a T.V. show.

Standing only 2 feet, 5.37 inches tall, He Pingping was traveling the world and doing t.v. shows and photo shoots and other events for the Guinness World Records.

Editor in Chief of the Guinness World Records said, "he was an inspiration to anyone considered different or unusual and showed us that despite the challenges we face, we can still make the most out of life."

Born in 1988 with a form of primordial dwarfism, he was officially measured in March 2008.

He was the third child of a family in Huade County, in the city of Wulanchabu in Northern China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. He had two sisters, both of whom developed at normal rates. His father said, "at his birth he was small enough to fit in the palm of his parents hands.

According to the TV Production Company Europroduzione, he died Saturday. He was rushed to hospital after becoming ill during rehearsal for the television show.

He suffered from a heart condition and high cholesterol.

Once paperwork is ready, he will be flown back to China.
