The World's Top 5 Stylish Cities

Just as individual styles differ, choosing what city to include on one's list of the world's most stylish cities is a matter of personal preference and taste. I'll abstain from being apologetic about choices as we all have our individual sensibilities to answer to.

Here are my top five stylish cities from around the world:

1. Paris
Champs-Elysees for its history, promenade, shops and proximity to the Arc de Triomphe. Montparnasse for its cafes and the many artist studios. Montmartre for more of the same, Let's not forget the Sacre-Coeur Basilica and the wonderful view of the Paris skyline from of up there. And then there's the Louvre!

2. Copenhagen
Up for a stroll along Stroget? A bit of shopping and in the afternoons and entertainment courtesy of the street performers. Tivoli Garden is on the itinerary, so is the Royal Danish Theater and the Amalienborg Palaces. Don't forget to pack your most comfortable shoes!

3. Rome
Dubbed as "The Eternal City". Visit the Colosseum, the Pantheon and other ancient Roman monuments. Stop by the Piazza del Campidoglio and the numerous palazzos, villas and art galleries. The Vatican city is located at the heart of Rome. Visit the Sistine Chapel and see for yourself paintings of Leonardo Da Vinci, Raphael and Botticelli. Simply divine!

4. Amsterdam
Not for the cannabis, mind you. Museums abound, Van Gogh's is a top destination. Various renaissance churches to visit too, such as the Westerkerk where Rembrandt was buried. The cities host of old and new buildings hold such wonder for me.

5. Vienna
Palaces, churches, and museums, Vienna has its own share of these plus the world's oldest zoo, Tiergarten Schonbrunn. Opera is a national pastime as evidenced by the many opera houses around the city, some like the Wiener Musikverein, is well known.
