The Worst Features of the LG Optimus Black Smartphone

The LG Optimus Black is one of the most advanced smartphones on the market and boasts a 4" NOVA display, a great design, and other features, but following are less than ideal LG Optimus Black features that you should know about.

Less Than Ideal Hardware

One quick look at the beautiful 4 inch NOVA display of the LG Optimus Black smartphone and most people are ready to nominate the Optimus Black "Smartphone of the Year", but if you were to look past the external features of this smartphone and focused on its internal components, you might not be that impressed. The LG Optimus Black features a 1GHz single core processor and 512MB of RAM while most modern high-end smartphones boast twice as much power.

Video Camera Is Lacking

In a day when high-end smartphones are boasting 8, 10, and even 12 megapixel cameras and camera phones are quickly replacing digital cameras, it's a bummer that the LG Optimus Black only packs a 5 megapixel camera phone. Not only does the Optimus Black's camera boast less-than ideal camera quality, it also lacks a flash and doesn't record HD quality video.

Default Storage Space

If you're looking to store lots of music, movies, documents, and fill up this smartphone with as many apps and games as possible, you can forget about it. The LG Optimus Black comes with a default 2GBs of internal storage and if you're looking to get more out of this smartphone, you'd be forced to shell out extra cash on a memory card upgrade.

Battery Life

Every great phone deserves a great battery, but the battery of the LG Optimus Black leaves a lot to be desired. The LG Optimus Black has an advertised maximum of 6 hours of talk time before a recharge is needed and while that might not sound that bad, it's very rare to see a full six hours of use out of this smartphone. No matter how great a smartphone is, if it has a poor battery, the fun won't last long, and the battery of the Optimus Black is rather disappointing.

Bloatware

Unnecessary and usually unwanted software doesn't sit well with smartphone shoppers, but for some reason the LG Optimus Black is filled with "bloatware". The "added" software preinstalled on the LG Optimus Black cannot be uninstalled and will forever take up valuable Home screen space and waste storage space that could be used on apps that you actually decided to download.
