I give this BBC TV comedy series 5 stars. Writers Mark Bussnell and Justin Sbresni have done an excellent job when writing the Murphy's Law BBC comedy TV series The Worst Week of My Life. The first season aired in 2004, and the second season in 2005. This hilarious TV sitcom revolves around Howard and his endless string of mishaps that occur at his workplace and with Mel's well to do family.

Each season of this TV sitcom series ran seven episodes, with each episode depicting a day of the week leading up to an important event in their lives. Season one takes you through the melodramatic comedy of errors that occur during week leading up to Howard and Mel's wedding. Season two is the week leading up to the birth of their child, where no one escapes becoming the victim of Howard's clumsiness and bad behavior.

The dichotomy between Howard and Mel adds even more fun to the plot of this outrageous and clever BBC TV comedy. Mel is very beautiful and charming while Howard has average looks, and although he has good intentions and loves Mel very much, is a bumbling fool who can't do anything without screwing it up. Mel's father Dick is a wealthy, esteemed judge and her mother Angela a sophisticated and dutiful housewife, while Howard's father is a tradesman and his girlfriend Trish a tawdry lap dancer.

Despite the repetitive premise of this BBC TV Comedy Series, the writers are remarkably inventive in creating an entertaining and endless chain of events that quite simply just don't get old and really kept me laughing all the way through every episode.

To give you a small sampling of the amusing antics, during the first season Howard classically drops Mel's heirloom wedding band down the drain, kills the beloved family dog "Binky" by tossing him into a cement mixer, gets into bed with Angela and gropes her breasts, almost kills Dick's mother and has a relentless maniacal stalker as the result of a one night stand that occurred at the office Christmas party two years ago.

The second season emerges with Howard being accused of sexual harassment at his workplace, Dick catches him dressed in women's clothes, he knocks their midwife unconscious during Mel's labor, floods Mel's family mansion by overflowing the birthing pool, humiliates a panty-less Angela by entering her room unannounced in the middle of her bikini waxing and is arrested for "dogging" with his ever loyal secretary Eve.
