Roseann Roseanna Danna of Saturday Night Live once had a misunderstanding and then an avalanche of them and so I guess she's responsible for the current (in the last 40 years) catastrophic misunderstanding. She misheard and misunderstood and she proceeded as if all was well just like the current misunderstanding about the Wrist of Habeas Corpus. It's quite a subject to laugh about since the WRIT of Habeas Corpus is the fundamental right which keeps courts honest: it keeps the courts paying attention to such things as reasonable cause for detaining you (or anybody charged with a criminal offense.)
The Wrist of Habeas Corpus is just an example of a fully loaded phrase: full of jokes for anyone with a sense of the ironic. With irony comes pain, though, because misunderstanding the Writ of Habeas Corpus intentionally is a serious thing if law enforcement people are doing the misunderstanding. If you don't have to obey the procedures for properly detaining people then the hill has been flooded with water and the temperature is below freezing.
Furthermore, tracking people illegally with GPS devices is permissible with the first hurdle taken care of. When does the victimizing stop. Habeas Corpus is fundamental to protect us from arbitrary prosecution or persecution.
I wrote about GPS tracking devices in a recent story and it's alarming they are used so casually to track and annoy people illegally. An additional advantage of tracking people with GPS is that video arrays can be managed from a computer in a remote location to further enhance the misery of the besieged person or persons.
GPS tracking seems viscerally different from the issue of the Writ of Habeas Corpus yet it can be directly traced to the arrogance of illegally detaining people without due process of law: namely the Habeas Corpus hearing.
What is this Wrist of Habeas Corpus
and why should I care?
Someone said it means
"you should have the body"
Me, Roseann Roseanna Danna
is listening now!
I should have the body:
the wrist and all.
But what does the court need
my attention for, for this silly story.
Of course we should have the body:
who would doubt that?
You may have the body:
we ALL know that!
