1. The "present" would look at the mirror and see if she has a smudge or dirt on her face. (So that she wouldn't look like mobbed in front of "ex")
2. How could you forget the war freak-no-care-for-the-world kind of "present"? Then she wouldd look straight at the "ex" and glare. And even though her angry piercing stare is palpable enough, she'd still say something like "she doesn't even look pretty."
3. "Present" would assure herself that she is a lot prettier than "ex."
4. "Present" would dig up all the English words she could muster, and speak them with pride and (take note) volume so that "ex" would hear and know that "present" has brains.
5. She would start snugging her boyfriend making sure that "ex" could see them.
6. When all these are done, "present" would try to walk past "ex" with her chin up -- proud and poised, pretending "ex" is not around.
It's quite funny how girls look at life as a constant competition for attention. Most of you (meaning the present girlfriends), if not all, have done one or two on the list.
