The Xyron 1.5 Create-a-Sticker

Scrapbooking is a fun and rewarding hobby. However, the cost of supplies can add up quite quickly. The smart scrapbooker is always looking for a way to cut costs while still maintaining quality. One way to accomplish this is to invest in tools that create embellishments rather than buying the individual embellishments such as die cut machines and sticker machines. You may pay more out of pocket in the beginning but it will save you money in the long run. One such tool is the Xyron 1.5" create-a-sticker.

The Xyron 1.5 is a small inexpensive way to create custom stickers. You have two options when purchasing this product. You can either purchase the permanent adhesive which is the pink Xyron 1.5 or you can purchase the repositionable adhesive which is the purple Xyron. Each Xyron includes a 1.5" wide x 20' long adhesive cartridge. The cost of the Xyron 1.5" is around ten dollars. Each refill cartridge will cost around $5.

All you do is place the item in the top of the Xyron. Make sure the side you want the adhesive on is down. Then simply pull the tape on the bottom and it will come through. Tear off the paper and rub on the item for a few seconds to affix the adhesive. Peel off the item and affix to your scrapbook.

The Xyron 1.5 will create a sticker from anything that is less than 1.5". This includes cardstock, chipboard, and even ribbon. The applications for this tool is only limited by your imagination.

Some benefits of the Xyron 1.5" are:

-No heat
-No electricity
-No batteries
-Refillable
-Portable and lightweight
-Acid free

Upon first use of this product, the only problem that I had with it was the included cartridge came unthreaded. It was slightly confusing figuring out how to rethread it. However, that being said, it was obvious user error and not the fault of the product.

I would definitely recommend the Xyron 1.5" to any scrapbooker as a valuable asset to your scrapbooking supplies. This product will be useful for the beginner scrapbooker all the way through the advanced scrapbooker. There are also more expensive Xyrons that allow you to create bigger stickers. They also go into more complicated applications such as lamination and magnets.

-Make sure to rub on the sticker before removing it from the paper to get as much adhesive on the item as possible.
