The New Year is Here: A Poem
Full of promise for joy
Renewed spirits abound
New plans for a better life
Start of a new decade
Brings hope and optimism
Gentle reminders of all that we have
Everything to be grateful for
Resolutions to keep
Some to be broken
But always a second chance
To get it right this time
Maybe this year
We show more kindness to each other
2010 is as good a time as any
To be happy rather than right
Wishing all of my friends
And all of my family
And all of my writing peers
