The Yin and Yang

What is yin and yang? You see the symbol all over. Its a symbol of balance but today the world is not balanced. There is too much yang and not enough yin in the world. Yang is technology and the male symbol. It is the aggressiveness of business, the fighting in the middle east, testosterone. It is civilization It is protection. It is all the words you call a male.

What is yin? Yin is the female part of the symbol. It is nurturing and mothering. It is earth and trees and grass. It is the ancients and it is calming of a mother's voice.

Today the world is missing a lot of its yin. Woman go to work and work in the man's world instead of nurturing for full time. Technology has taken over the world so much that much of the green the grass the earth is gone and only civilization can be found. We have to plant trees to keep forests alive and yet we tear it down quicker then we put it back. Many women have lost the value of nurturing their children and the children have to fend for themselves.

Please don't get me wrong. I think its great a woman works. I work but I also try to balance myself and I don't have children. However if I did I would have more time for the children then I see many parents have.

Men can have yin too. Its more the submissive side of them the emotional side and not so much the robotic side. Men can be willing to help change the world as well.

We need both the Yin and the Yang. We need the balance of both to make us whole. With the yang out of balance and overrunning the show there will be more aggression and more loss of the earth. But we need the yang too or we become once again more like the caveman with no technology. This is why there is a need for a balance.

I am not saying technology should go away. I am saying we are overrun by technology and losing freedom as well because of an extreme gain in technology. I am saying we need to balance this with growing more trees leaving more land free for the animals to run. I am saying balancing as mothers and as woman with the man's world of business and t he woman's world of nurturing and loving their families.

If we all did our part the world would be a better place as the clique goes. This season when you are looking for a Christmas tree. Try first to find one you can plant somewhere instead of one that is cut. Because if we all just do one thing for yin it will slowly return to balance.
