In order to understand Feng Shui, you must first understand how the colors can be placed into categories. I'm going to tell you about the different elements of Feng Shui, the categories of Yin and Yang, and specific qualities of each color. There are five Feng Shui elements. They are fire, earth, metal, water, and wood. Fire is the element of passion and high energy and it is supposed to bring you a supporting energy in areas involving you career and is said to bring you recognition for your achievements. The colors of the fire element are red, orange, purple, pink, and yellow. The earth colors are light yellow, and beige. Earth is the element of nourishment and stability. It is said to provide nourishment, stability, and protection in relationships. The metal element is the element of clarity and preciseness. The metal colors are gray and white. The water elements will bring a clear and refreshing energy to your home. It is the element of ease, abundance, and freshness. Its colors are blue and black. The final element is wood, and is said to bring health and vitality. It is a healing element and its colors are brown and green.

Feng Shui colors are also divided into Yin and Yang colors. The Yin colors are supposed to bring healing and relaxation. Some examples of Yin colors are blue, black, purple, white, pink, and green. Some of these colors are said to help in both mental and physical healing, while others provide wisdom or protection. The Yang colors include most of the fire and wood elements of Feng Shui. They are said to provide enthusiasm and positive energy. Some Yang colors are yellow, orange, beige, brown, red, and gold.
