The Young and the Restless: What Happened This Week?
Storyline Updates for Y&R Episodes During the Week of January 14, 2011
Nothing Says "I Love You" Like a Baby
Billy's heart is in the right place, but his scruples may have taken a hike in his desperation to brighten Victoria's blues. He cuts a deal with the sneaky and avaricious Primrose and buys a bouncing baby girl for a cool 2 mil. When he presents the baby to Vikki, she's shocked.
Newman Lawsuit Gets Uglier
Vikki's baby woes aren't her only worry as the fight for her inheritance heats up. She and Victor seem to waver momentarily in their resolve to take each other down, but both decide to push ahead and play dirty anyway. Newman Enterprises takes a hit as a third of it's assets are frozen and Victor makes it clear that the blame for job layoffs will be laid at his daughters' feet.
Jack Sets Adam Free
Adam refuses the DA's deal of 12 years in prison in exchanged for a guilty verdict. Jack continues to snoop in Hawaii and finds Skye's perfume in the burned-out shell of her tiki hut, and a set of keys that belonged to her. The evidence he comes up with is enough for Vance to get all charges against Adam dropped, and on Friday's cliffhanger episode, he is released from jail and goes home with Sharon.
Nick Files for Faith
Sharon spends some supervised time with Faith early in the week and seems to be willing to compromise with his conditions. However, Nick is still disturbed and disgusted with Sharon's continued defense of Adam and talks to Michael about filing for full custody of Faith.
Kevin Avoids His "Wife"
Gloria grills Jana, trying to get her to slip up and reveal that her memory loss is nonexistent, but Jana won't play. Kevin pretends to be sick so he has an excuse to not sleep with her.
Daniel Doesn't Know Anything
Daniel might be awake, but he has no answers for anyone about Daisy's whereabouts. He vaguely remembers an argument but beyond that, nothing else.
Nina Tries to Save Ronan
Nina wants to give part of her liver to Ronan, but she's not a match for organ donation. She reveals Ronan's condition to Cricket and tries to convince her that the only way to save him might be to bring Chance back to town.
Heather Gets Nosy
Impulsively, Heather steals Chance's original recording of the fateful sting operation from the DA's office. She listens to it with Paul, who insists that the gunshots they hear are blanks. Despite Ronan's threat to arrest her if she continues to pry, she guesses the truth - that Chance isn't really dead.
Diane Makes Her Move
Diane finally lets Victor talk her into moving on to the ranch. Kyle is thrilled, since there are horses and skating ponds and bacon and egg sandwiches cooked just for him. Nick is thrilled, since there will be more time for clandestine canoodling with Diane. Jack is not thrilled, and warns Diane not to play him and Victor off of each other. Victor is smug in the face of Jack's wrath, but as always, plays his cards close to his chest.
