Isn't.
The wish
Misses the mark.
The dream
Will fade;
The Zen of
Reality
Is not at all stark
Though one half of life
Remains forever
Dark
The moment is rich
With each incoming
Breath
Those weave into.
A life
Between a birth
And a death.
It's not about
Nothing,
Quite the contrary
Is true
And everything now
And in each
Future moment
Is new.
Sitting and waiting
Is a spot
On life's path
Where rest
Is permitted
To restore us.
But we were
Not born to
Statuary,
But to live, love
And give no
Person cause
To abhor us.

You are a great writer, I like your style.
thoughtful!
Very thoughtful and I'm still waiting to hear about that book.
Ah - "if only" all of us could, we would have lived well.
As your illustration shows, there is a bit of light (white) in the "dark half" and a bit of dark in the "light half." I guess that that total is then half and half.
I love the opening: The abstract idea/isn't
though I'd be tempted by "abstraction" (as I am by abstraction...)
Nice. I like it!
