Zip lining in Bretton Woods, NH is a great way to try something adventurous and fun in the New England White Mountains. It is safe, you get to see beautiful scenery, and you are with people who are all in the same boat as you - or should I say zip line?

Largest Canopy Tour in America

The Canopy Tour at Bretton Woods, NH is the longest zip line canopy tour in the continental United States. It has 18 platforms, three rappels, two sky bridges, 10 zip lines, and there is a 1000 foot descent. You learn on the ground and gradually move up in height and length. By the time you get to the end, you'll be a pro and you can race a fellow zip liner to see who learned the most while visiting the White Mountains of New England.

Safety

The zip line canopy tour has coated two cables (one above the other) so it is safe and easy, not to mention quiet. You will literally feel like you're flying from one tree to the next but you're never far from help because the guides are always looking after you. There is one guide on the platform where you take off, and another to help you in when you land on the next platform.

The zip line tour in Bretton Woods, NH lasts 3.5 hours but you'll feel like only 30 minutes passed by the time you reach the end.

What do I wear to zip line?

Each person will be fitted with a harness, helmet and gloves. Attire should be comfortable and secure (e.g. no dresses or anything that can catch on the line). Long pants and a polar fleece are perfect during the fall. Women with long hair must put their hair back in a braid or ponytail.

Cost

If you are staying at the Bretton Woods resort, the fee is $99/person. The public fee is $110, and although it sounds like a lot of money, you certainly get your money's worth.

Zip Line Requirements

-The minimum age is 12 and children between the ages of 12 to 17 must be accompanied by an adult.
-You must be physically fit enough to be able to pull yourself up along the zip lines if you lose momentum before reaching the platform, and you should be able to walk on uneven ground (e.g. unpaved paths) while hiking to the first platform.
-You will not be allowed to participate if you are pregnant, or suffer from back, heart or leg problems. If you suffer from another serious illness, please inform the staff before making reservations to see if you qualify.
-Your weight should range between 90 to 250 pounds.
-Everyone has to sign a release and waiver form before being allowed to use the zip line.
-No one under any circumstance is allowed to participate in the zip line canopy tour in Bretton Woods, NH if they are under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol.
