Bellingham Washington offers its residents four theaters to practice their acting skills, or enjoy the community's performances. The theater is an art that is sometimes forgotten when craving a night of entertainment, but it is always an experience to get dressed up and enjoy big town talent in a small town like Bellingham.

Bellingham Theatre Guild

The Bellingham Theatre Guild is located at 1600 H Street in Bellingham. They were established in 1929 and are a nonprofit organization. All of the workers at the Theatre are volunteers and community members who care about keeping the guild running. The Bellingham Theatre Guild offers memberships to its community members for $15 or $10 with a season ticket. The membership grants voting rights, a subscription to the newsletter and recognition. The season tickets for adults are $52 for adults and allow admission to the five shows put on each year.

Mount Baker Theatre

The Mount Baker Theatre is located at 104 North Commercial St., in Bellingham. The Theatre is located in a grand historic building that was restored and now is a center part of the communities performing arts event. As a nonprofit the Mount Baker Theatre supports its shows with volunteers, memberships and sponsors. Ticket prices vary with the event and the events offered are plenty and change regularly. If you are attending an event with a group, be sure to ask about discounts when you purchase tickets!


Idiom Theater

The Idiom is located on 1418 Cornwall, in Bellingham. The Idiom takes its writers, performers and volunteers out of the Bellingham community and incorporates all of them into its brilliant season of performances. Tickets are usually $10 per person to enjoy a show, but price does vary.

The Upfront Theater

The Upfront Theater is located at 1208 Bay Street. This Theater offers great improv, stand-up and sketch comedy for the community to enjoy. Prices are regularly affordable for someone who wants a budget-priced night out. The Theater also offers a school that offers improv classes to students of all ages.
