The-Dream Admits Attempting Suicide After Breakup with Christina Milian

The-Dream admitted through a blog post on his official website that he attempted suicide after his recent breakup with wife Christina Milian after pictures of him in the Caribbean with another woman surfaced.

The-Dream, real name Terius Nash, said through the statement on his website that the disintegration of his marriage to Milian had nothing to do with her. Nash took full responsibility for his actions that led to Christina taking their daughter Violet and moving out of their home earlier this month.

The-Dream said in the blog post Friday, "I've cried about this for months, after interviews, after prayer and I've tried to take my own life at a point because of the failure that was looming."

The impending divorce between The-Dream and Christina Milian is shaping up to become messy as both sides fight over money, property and custody of their daughter.

After the pictures taken of Nash and his bikini-clad assistant Melissa Santiago running on the beach together surfaced in tabloid magazines The-Dream was forced to admit he did cheat on his wife and did take his assistant to the Caribbean after telling others he was going their for promotion of his new album Love King.

In a statement released through The-Dream's representative he claimed he and Milian broke at the end of last year after the couple returned from renewing their vows in Rome. The couple had eloped in September 2009 and renewed their vows during a lavish star studded Italy ceremony.

The statement went on to say the couple kept the breakup private to save their daughter from being harassed by the press.

In the blog post The-Dream offered an apology to his fans and the public for being deceptive, saying, "I take FULL RESPONSIBILITY for misleading everyone into thinking everything was fine and okay when we knew problems existed for awhile. I would NEVER intentionally hurt a soul and everyone around me knows that! There was so much going on in me and Christina's personal world that I tried to deal with it as delicately as I could and tried to regain my footing."
