Them Are Us

M Smorg
All cops are pigs. All politicians are corrupted.
All lawyers are swindlers, and the accountants cheaters.
And all government workers are lazy bums...
Unless they are us.

Every Jews are greedy, every French are tricky.
Every Chinese are robotic communists,
And every Italian will cheat out your last penny...
Unless they are us.

Every Christians are fundies. Every Muslims are bloody.
No atheist knows morality, and every Buddhist are nuts...
Unless they are us.

The homos all want to screw us, every immigrants are here to loaf on us,
The Liberals will just whine to us, the Conservatives will just try to shoot us.
Nobody is there for us;
Not the city, not the state, not the union,
or even the corporation;

We man them, we choose them, we finance them, we obey them.
For all intents and purposes, we are them...
But, in the manner of speaking, we never wanted to be... us.

    We always talk about corporations, government, and other groups of people as though they were not made up of people just like us. Good reminder and poem!

    WOW! So true....Theres a lot of times we point the finger forgetting that our standard for judging everyone should be the same standard we judge and examine ourselves.
