Disneyland is the most well-known of all the theme parks in Orange County, and a must-see for anyone who has never experienced the magic of Disneyland before. Disneyland is home to the original Cinderella's Castle, the Matterhorn rollercoaster, and several other famous Disney attractions. Disney's California Adventure is Disney's newer tribute to the best that the state of California has to offer. Themed attraction areas at Disney's California Adventure are named Hollywood Pictures Backlot, Golden State, and Paradise Pier. Each area features different Disney attractions based on these California areas and themes.
Disney's California Adventure is adjacent to Disneyland, making it easy to go back and forth between the two Disney parks with a park hopper pass. A one day pass to Disney's California Adventure is priced at $66 for an adult ticket and $56 for a child ticket. The park hopper pass, which includes access to both Disney's California Adventure and Disneyland for one day, is priced at $91 for an adult ticket and $81 for a child ticket. Multiple day hopper passes may save some money for those who plan on spending more than a few days between Disney's California Adventure and Disneyland.

Knotts Berry Farm
Knotts Berry Farm is another popular Orange County theme park and many park regulars have been coming to this ghost town themed park since they were children. Knotts Berry Farm is a theme park that offers fun for the whole family. A children's area, Camp Snoopy, is ideal for smaller children visiting Knotts Berry Farm. Camp Snoopy has kid-friendly attractions and shows designed for children. Knotts Berry Farm also has thrills for more adventurous children and adults, with the popular Ghost Rider wooden rollercoaster, Xcelerator, and Supreme Scream thrill rides.
Knotts Berry Farm also has a few water themed attractions for a few splashes on a hot California day, including the Bigfoot Rapids and Timber Mountain Log Ride. Those looking for a more wet experience can head next door to the Soak City Waterpark.
Tickets for a day at Knotts Berry Farm are priced at $43 for adults and $19.99 for children 3-11 and seniors 62 and older. Knotts Berry Farm hours vary, but the current schedule is 10 am until 10 pm Sundays through Fridays, and 10 am until 11 pm on Saturdays. The Knotts Berry Farm website also offers a speicla for 1/2 price adult admission after 4 pm.

Adventure City
Adventure City is a smaller theme park in Orange County for younger children. The theme park features a country fair type of theming, with a variety of attractions specifically for children in the preschool or early elementary years. Most children under 6 will enjoy this park, but children who are more thrill-seeking and used to the more daring rides at theme parks such as Six Flags Magic Mountain, may find the attractions at Adventure City are too mild.
