Planning a fun wedding ceremony and reception with a theme? Make sure that you include your mode of transportation while decorating for your theme! Whether you are on a budget or have no limitations on what to spend, there are a variety of ways to make your wedding transportation special. Here are a few ways that you can spice up the theme of your wedding with a cleverly chosen vehicle to make your big entrance and exit in:
1) Romantic Wedding: A limousine of course! Whether you chose a white or black limo, these classical and sleek vehicles are traditional for weddings, and offer a chic and romantic way to get to and from your wedding. The tinted windows and private back seat area offer a great way for you and your partner to share a few minutes alone as a new couple. Decorate with bells or flowers for a special romantic touch.
2) Contemporary Consider renting a hot rod as your exit vehicle! Wave to friends and family with the top down on a shiny red Corvette, or race off in a classic 1950's speedster. However, just remember that you will get windblown, so we don't recommend this type of vehicle to make your entrance in!
3)
Holiday
theme: Getting married around winter or Christmas time? Consider arriving in a sleigh if there is snow on the ground, or a festive horse drawn carriage. Valentine's Day weddings are ideal for red convertibles or even a pink Cadillac. For the truly daring, a hearse would be a fun and spooky way to get to a Halloween themed wedding.
4) Beach Nuptials: A dramatic entrance for a beach wedding would be by sea. Consider renting a pretty boat covered in white lights to take you to your wedding destination, or even a canoe. Watch out…there may be a risk in ruining your clothes though.
5) Trendy: Consider renting a giant Hummer or Escalade limousine! Own the road and have plenty of space for your wedding guests as you arrive to your ceremony in style. Party buses are also spacious and trendy ways to add a little extra something to your wedding transportation.
Even if you cannot rent a vehicle suitable enough to match your theme, consider decorating a limo or rental car instead. Ask your rental company if you may decorate the vehicle, and use stick on appliqués, safe non toxic paints and streamers, balloons and floral wreaths if you wish. Also, feel free to add the driver of your vehicle in on the theme. See if they don't mind wearing a hat or costume that would tie in with your theme, like a 19th century carriage driver outfit for example.
Whatever you decide, make sure that you include your mode of transportation into the overall style of your wedding and theme. It isn't necessary, but a fun way of showing you and your partner's personality and adds a great touch to any ceremony.
