There is Something About Today

Lisa R. Strong
There is something about today;
I don't know what it is;
Perhaps it is the brightness;
Of the morning sun;
Or maybe it is that Robin;
Whistling with so much joy;
Perhaps it is the breeze;
Cold, but it smells like spring;
It could be the echoing sound;
Of wild geese flying overhead;
Signaling the passing of time;
Maybe it is the sky;
Puffs of thick, white clouds;
Separated by patches of blue;
I take a moment to absorb it all;
There is an energy that I have regained;
Feeling refreshed and renewed;
There is something about today;
I can't put my finger on it;
But I would like it to stay.

    I am really glad you like the photo...Actually, this photo was taken last week. (I can only take photos with a camera phone) We had a short stroke of good weather...I have been ill for the last couple of days, and I haven't been able to go anywhere.
