Birmingham, MI 48009
United States of America
Among the usual fine restaurants that take part are some new ones that will deliver even more value to the discounted lunches and dinners.
Cameron's Steakhouse claims no compromises in delivering a sophisticated 21st century update for the upscale American steakhouse. It features hand-selected, corn-fed beef, with seafood that is flown in daily, and takes special pride in its house-made side dishes.
Toast is another newby to the event, and out-trends even the trendy by actually opening at 8 a.m. on New Year's Day for breakfast, and offering extended hours in general. Known for staples - like blueberry pancakes and burritos for breakfast; and lunches with sliders or spicy sliced tuna/cucumbers/sesame seeds over lettuce; dinner of whitefish served on creamy tortilla soup or spicy steak strips au jus with fries - Toast has a full bar and is casual enough to meet up with friends at any time of day.
Zazio's rounds out the list of event newcomers, and provides the discerning seeker of Italian cuisine a new stop-off. Classics like veal Parmigiana, chicken Alfredo and spaghetti join some fresh takes on filled pasta, swordfish, duck and lamp chops.
Meanwhile, chefs are busily inventing new menus at involved restaurants that will be offered at great deals for three-course lunch and dinners. The businesses already on board are: 220, Big Rock Chophouse, Cafe Via, Chen Chow, Fleming's Steakhouse, Forest Grill, Forte, Mitchell's Fish Market, Peabody's, Phoenicia, Quattro Pizzeria and Wine Bar, The Rugby Grille, Salvatore Scallopini, South, and Streetside Seafood.
More are expected to be added before the 2011 launch, and from Jan. 31 to Feb. 4 and Feb. 7 through Feb. 11, the Streets are About to be Alive With the Tastes of Birmingham!
