First of all, if you're ready for a full day of autumn adventure, you'll love Cider Hill Farm in Amesbury, MA. They have apples, apples and more apples. Don't forget to visit the country market where you can find sensational homemade goods like pies, jams and jellies. The best apple cider known to man and while you're there don't forget to sample the just made warm cider donuts. I bet you can't eat just one, yum!

Everyone loves the hayrides, the tire swings and the hay maze. Relax drink your cider and let the kids feed the chickens and the goats and run about the open farm. The people are friendly and you'll meet tourists from all over. You can plan your trip just weeks before Halloween and a make a day of choosing just the right pumpkin. They also have gourds and cornstalks for decorating.

The kids have fun, the parents love the fresh fruits and veggies and it's a wholesome New England day trip that will soon become a yearly tradition.

The quaint town of Merrimac also boasts a great spot for apple picking fun. Homestead Farms is a local favorite spot. You can hop on a hayride, feed the farm animals and bring home some of the freshest produce available. It's a great place to spend the day or even stop by and get ingredients for supper.
